Rule number one – I do everything with a smile on my face.
Rule number two – I genuinely want to help.
Rule number three – RELAX, I’m not going to put you under any pressure.
Everything starts with a free ‘Getting to know you’ session.
In this session I want to get to know a bit about you and your business:
- What is your experience that you have brought with you into your business
- What have you learned since starting your business
- What stage are you at
- Just starting
- A couple of years old
- Over 3 years old
- Who is in the business with you
- Business partners (it could be good to meet them too)
- Staff (how many, job roles)
- Collaborators (freelancers you work with regularly)
- Other stakeholders (shareholders, suppliers)
- What is the one thing that is causing you the most concern about your business right now?
You’ll also want to know how my experience can help you. I want you to feel confident and happy that we can work together.
I will discuss my pricing structure in our initial ‘Getting to Know You’ meeting.
If either of us feel we wouldn’t get on, we’ll shake hands and walk away, no hard feelings.
You might still leave with some information that will be beneficial to you.
If you decide that you are comfortable working with Business Dad to help to grow your business, then we’ll arrange 3 sessions (one a month) where we can get started on developing the actions needed to overcome your current challenges. These sessions usually last around 2 hours each.
Why 3 months? We need some time to see if the agreed actions are taking effect and to review and refine them to optimize results. We’ll spend our time looking at what has worked and what needs refining.
Do we stop then? Not necessarily. I hope that I will have demonstrated the benefits of working with Business Dad for an extended period because there is always change and a new challenge to overcome. Business Dad can help you to become more resilient and proactive and to be your sounding board or be there to hold you accountable.
I’m also happy to become involved in helping you develop your business plan, cash flow forecast and work with you on grant or funding applications.
